We offer a wide selection of new and late-model road motorcycles, ideal for touring the country’s spectacular highways and scenic back roads. For riders seeking something more adventurous, we also provide an extensive range of dual-purpose adventure motorcycles suited to both sealed and off-road riding.

Rideabikenz specialises in adventure bike hire for larger groups and can create fully customised motorcycle tours throughout the South Island, tailored to suit your riding style, experience, and sense of adventure.

Road Touring Motorcycles

Our road touring fleet includes a variety of modern motorcycles to suit different riding styles, experience levels, and touring preferences.

We offer light, nimble, and easy-to-handle 450cc and 650cc motorcycles that are perfect for riders wanting a comfortable and confidence-inspiring touring experience. For those looking for extra power, long-distance comfort, and excellent two-up capability, we also provide premium 800cc and 1000cc touring motorcycles ideal for extended adventures around New Zealand.

Adventure Motorcycles

Rideabikenz also operates a large fleet of mid-sized and larger adventure motorcycles designed for both sealed roads and off-road exploration.

These bikes are perfect for riders wanting to venture beyond the main highways and experience New Zealand’s more remote landscapes, scenic backcountry routes, and lesser-known tracks. From gravel roads and alpine passes to rugged South Island scenery, our adventure bikes give you the freedom to explore places many visitors never get to see.

Booking Information

Motorcycle Rentals

Booking a motorcycle with Rideabikenz is simple and hassle-free.

Just send us an email with:

• The number of motorcycles required

• Your preferred rental dates

• The duration of your hire (days or weeks)

We will then provide you with a free, no-obligation quote along with confirmation of motorcycle availability.

Once you are happy to proceed, a deposit request for 20% of the total booking value will be sent to secure your reservation. Your booking is confirmed once the deposit has been received.

Guided & Self-Guided Motorcycle Tours

If you are interested in one of our guided or self-guided motorcycle tours, simply register your interest with your preferred travel dates and estimated group size.

We will then follow up with a detailed information pack including tour options, motorcycle availability, pricing, and helpful information to assist with planning your New Zealand motorcycle adventure.

Motorcycle Insurance

Yes — Rideabikenz includes FREE comprehensive motorcycle insurance with all rentals of 5 days or more.

For shorter hires of 1–4 days, insurance is charged at an additional rate of $25 per day.

A $3,000 security bond is required for each motorcycle rental. This bond acts as the insurance excess in the event of any damage or insurance claim.

Cancellation Policy

Motorcycle Rental Cancellations

More Than 30 Days Before Hire

Bookings cancelled more than 30 days prior to the rental start date are eligible for a full refund, less any applicable bank fees and a $185 NZD administration fee.

Between 14–30 Days Before Hire

Bookings cancelled between 14 and 30 days before the rental start date are eligible for a 20% refund, less any applicable bank fees and a $185 NZD administration fee.

Within 14 Days of Hire

Bookings cancelled within 14 days of the rental start date are non-refundable.

Motorcycle Tour Cancellation Policy

More Than 60 Days Before Tour Departure

The tour deposit is non-refundable.

Between 30–60 Days Before Tour Departure

Cancellation charges equal to 40% of the total tour cost will apply.

29 Days or Less Before Tour Departure

Cancellations made within 29 days of the tour departure date are non-refundable, and 100% of the total tour cost will apply.

Travel Insurance

Rideabikenz strongly recommends that all guests arrange comprehensive travel insurance to protect against unexpected cancellations, medical events, travel delays, or other unforeseen circumstances.
